My Doctor the Dad- 11th Doctor X Daughter! Reader

Part 2

You stare in awe at your dad. “D-dad?” He smiles. You race over and tackle him. “DAD!” You scream in happiness. You look at him. “What the hell have you been doing for nine years huh?!”

The Doctor shakes his head. “I’m so sorry (Name); I’ve been busy… really busy.” He notices your stuffed (favorite animal). “Where did you get that?”

“I went roller skating with some friends,” You tell him. “I figured out what song the DJ was playing and, I won this.” You get off your dad and he stands up.

“What song was it?” He asks. You hug your stuffed animal closer. “A bird in a gilded cage,” You whisper. The Doctor stands up. “It may have been because I asked the DJ to play that song?”

Your face starts to turn red. “Are you serious?” He nods. You give him another hug. “Why did you do that?”

“It’s part of your birthday present!” He says, hugging you back. You look up at him and smile. “So, what’s the other half of my birthday present?” You ask him. Please let it be a ride in the TARDIS, you think.

The Doctor smiles. “It’s a surprise.”

“Come on, tell me!” He shakes his head. “Not yet; I still have to see everybody else!” You roll your eyes. “Alright, let’s go inside then!” You grab his hand and drag him inside.

Your three siblings are sitting at the kitchen table when you two walk in. “Dad?” Jace, your older brother looks at the Doctor with surprise all over his face.

“Dad!” Your two younger sisters shout. All three of your siblings race over and surround your dad. “Mom!” Jace shouts upstairs. “Look who came for (Name)’s birthday!” River appears in the kitchen.

“Well hello sweetie.” River walks up to the Doctor. You expect her to kiss your dad, but she actually slaps him. “That’s for leaving me with four kids.” She slaps him again. “And that’s for leaving me with four kids for nine years.”

She hugs him. “Welcome home.” Your family spends the next half hour just talking to each other before your dad says, “Well, (Name) and I should be leaving soon.”

“Where are you going?” Elizabeth asks. “France, 1819; when the first roller skating rink was invented.” You try to hold in your excitement. You’re going to travel in the TARDIS!

“Let’s go (Name)!” You say good-bye to your family, grab your coat, and follow your dad to his TARDIS. You step inside the blue box and marvel at the awesome interior.

“Dad, this is… awesome!” The Doctor smiles. “Glad you like her. Now,” He pulls a switch. “Hold onto something! It’s going to be a bumpy ride!” The TARDIS jerks up, causing you to fall to the floor. You can’t help but laugh.

A few minutes of jerking left and right, the TARDIS finally settles with a quiet groan.

“We’re here!” You and the Doctor step out of the TARDIS and you quickly fall to the ground. “Whoa! Careful!” The Doctor pulls you up. You look down and notice… things attached to your feet. “What are those things?”

“Roller skates.” The Doctor answers. He skates around on the wooden floor, bumping into a few other people. You can’t help but laugh and skate over to him. “Need some help dad?” He shakes his head.

“I’m good.” You laugh again as he slips. “Let me show you how a real pro does it!” You do two quick runs of the ring and a little spin to show off. After your performance, all the women and men clap for you.

“Beautiful!” A woman exclaims. You smile and bow. “Thank you.”

You and your dad skate around the rink a few times before he decides to take you home.

When you arrive home, you can’t help but feel sad in the inside. “Well, did you have a good time (Name)?” You nod. “Yeah… I just don’t want it to end.” The Doctor smiles and hugs you.

“I’ll come back next year, okay?” You frown. “You say that, but you lie and it doesn’t happen.” The Doctor looks down at you and hands you a small, blue necklace.

“This was your grandmother’s,” he says. “She always wore it, and I always came for her. If you wear it, then I will come back for you too.” You smile and hug your dad.

“I love you Doctor.”

“I love you too, (Name).”
